COLLECTION HISTORY Collection commenced: 1997 Break in series: None Other details: COLLECTION METHODOLOGY After becoming aware of an offence the reporting officer contacts the Information and Communications Technology Command (ICT) by telephone as soon as practicable. A twenty-four hour data entry service exists within ICT to facilitate this process. The offence is then recorded in the Queensland Police Records and Information Management Exchange (QPRIME), classified and counted by the data entry staff. SCOPE AND COVERAGE Offences reported to and recorded by Queensland Police. DEFINITION OF FAMILY AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE Family and domestic violence is defined in the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 as behaviour by a person towards another person with whom the first person is in an intimate personal, family, or informal care relationship, that is:
Breach Domestic Violence (Family Protection) Act Order/Release Conditions – Includes Breach of Domestic Violence Order, and/or conditions of the Order (i.e. Breach DVO); Breach of Release Conditions; Breach of a registered interstate Order including conditions and Breach of Police Protection Notice. Excludes Application for Domestic Violence, Restraining Order. DEFINITION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE Sexual Offences are comprised of ‘rape,' 'attempted rape,’ and ‘other sexual offences’:
